What is the difference between a GymFusion Network Membership and a membership sold through GymFusion to an individual gym?
With a GymFusion Network Membership members get access to multiple network gyms, while with a membership to an individual gym they only have access to that particular gym. From the gyms side, the difference is in how you are compensated for the use of your facility. When a GymFusion Network Member uses your facility we pay you a predetermined usage fee (similar to a day rate). For a member that signs up to only us your gym, you receive your stated monthly fee (less $5.95 surcharge to cover credit card and other collection costs). For both membership types, you will be paid by GymFusion so there is no need to worry about collections for individuals.
What is the benefit of using GymFusion to increase my gym’s membership and revenues?
GymFusion handles all sales and marketing associated with acquiring new members for the gyms in the GymFusion network. Therefore the gym doesn’t have to incur the cost generally related to this activity.
How can I increase my membership using GymFusion?
Membership activity can be controlled by adjusting your monthly membership dues through GymFusion. If you want to increase your membership you would adjust your monthly dues downward. Conversely in a month where you don’t want many new members you simply adjust your monthly dues up.
Do I have to discount my rate to be in the GymFusion network?
As the gym owner you have complete control over what you charge a GymFusion member so discounting your rate is within your discretion. Typically a gym in the network will begin by setting the monthly dues at its corporate rate and adjust the rate up or down depending on how much membership they want to pull into their facility.
How is GymFusion going to market to get membership?
We are planning an aggressive internet marketing campaign targeting individual consumers in geographic regions. Additionally, we will work with corporations and organizations to offer their employees and members GymFusion memberships.
GymFusion will also market the added value offered through the GymFusion website. Members will have access to online tools that will help them achieve fitness and wellness goals. These tools include 3D video guides for over 300 exercises, nutritional guidance, fit scores and hundreds of articles pertaining to fitness, nutrition, training, and wellness.
I have a limited membership, why would I want to join GymFusion?
Even if you have a membership ceiling you have the ability to access the other products and services that Gym Fusion offers its network facilities. You can also control membership by the rates you offer and increase if you are not interested in bringing on new members in a given month.
What are other benefits of joining GymFusion?
GymFusion will increase your membership giving you more people to whom you can sell ancillary products and services.
Also, GymFusion has a program that gives your members access to the gyms in the GymFusion network.
We have been approached by similar companies. How is GymFusion different?
Our network is unique. Our primary goal is to increase memberships and revenues for GymFusion network gyms by targeting individual consumers through the online marketing campaigns. We will work with corporations and organizations but as a secondary target as those partnerships often require significantly discounted rates.
Also, GymFusion’s gyms are local and regional facilities, not the large chain or franchises which typically offer deep discounts off their standard rates to acquire new members.
There are also regional networks that link local independent clubs primarily for reciprocal use benefits for the gym members.
The result of our approach is a higher per member fee for the gym as compared to similar networks!!
What is a typical profile of a GymFusion gym?
GymFusion will be partnering with local and regional fitness facilities whose main emphasis is on the fitness and wellness of their members. We will not be partnering with large national or international franchises.
How will we know who joins our gym? How will we know how many members have joined our gym through GymFusion?
When a member signs up the gym will receive an email. At the end of each month, the gym will receive a report with active members. At any time the gym can go to their account online and look at their up to date report.
How will we know if someone is eligible to use our facility?
When a GymFusion member visits your gym their membership is verified through the Member Verify link on the GymFusion website or by swiping their membership card at the gyms credit card terminal. The gym will enter the member’s id and receive verification of active membership. If the member is inactive or an active GymFusion member but not eligible for that gym, a message will pop-up indicating status.
The gym has final say who gains access to their facilities.
Does GymFusion require members to sign long term contracts?
We provide monthly contracts for individuals, couples and families based on what each gym wants to offer.
How often will GymFusion pay the gym?
Gyms will be paid once a month at the end of each month. You can choose to be paid via check or direct deposit.
How will we know what other local facilities are part of the GymFusion network?
Through the account maintenance section of each gym’s section of the website you can access a directory of all gyms. You can also use the find a gym function from the homepage to review gyms in a specific geographic area.
What is GymFusion’s growth strategy?
We started with a pilot in the Tucson and Phoenix markets. The growth strategy is to expand aggressively across the United States.
